Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is let someone see you properly.

Alex
I know my reputation. Charming, a bit too confident, happier flirting than settling. It used to suit me. Then Emma turns up in Fellside with her soft curves, cautious smile and a habit of underestimating herself, and suddenly I am tripping over my own clever lines. She brings out the part of me that actually wants to try. I tease because it makes her blush. I stay close because she relaxes when I am around. And the more time I spend with her, the more certain I am that I would move mountains to keep her safe.

Emma
Most of my life I have been surrounded by people who made me feel slightly wrong, slightly too much or not quite enough. Moving to Fellside is my attempt to finally breathe without waiting for someone to tell me I am doing it badly. I expected peace. I did not expect Alex. He is confident and irritatingly charming, the kind of man who sees straight through my awkwardness. Even worse, he actually seems to like the body I have been taught to apologise for. I don’t know what he sees in me, but every time he smiles, I want to believe in it. I want to believe in him.

A blossoming romance, a village that refuses to mind its own business, and a moment on the fells that will test everything they are building. Healing takes time, but sometimes the right person walking beside you makes all the difference.

This is a re-edited and refreshed edition of the steamy small town story previously published as Blossom with Me, Book One in the Fellside Mountain Rescue series. The series has been lovingly revisited with polished writing, added depth, and a few updated story beats. Set in the north of England and written in British English.

Review:

If you are a fan of Fellside, then you need to pick Healing Together up immediately. I have read all of the Fellside books and Miss Elias has made this book so much better. You can actually feel the heart and soul that have gone into this book since she has initially released them. Kudos to you, Miss Elias. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful rewrite of your own story.

I'd like to thank Happily Booked PR and Dani Elias for the opportunity to read this book.

Her heart was shattered. He’s ready to piece it back together.

Ashley

The day I discovered my husband of six years had been unfaithful, I should have been devastated. But all I felt was confirmation—confirmation that the whispers in our small town were true. Now, I’m left picking up the pieces of my life, and the one person who’s been my anchor is Ricky. My childhood best friend. The boy who once knew me better than anyone. And the more time I spend with him, the more I start to wonder—what would it feel like to kiss him? To let him hold me? To love him the way I never got to before?

Ricky

I’ve loved her since we were twelve. And by the time I finally found the courage to tell her, she was already his. I stepped aside, watched from the sidelines, knowing she deserved the world—even if it wasn’t with me. But now, he’s gone. He broke her heart, and she’s looking to me for comfort. Only, I don’t want to be her shoulder to cry on. I want to be her future, her forever. And this time, I won’t let her go.

Trigger Warning: There is cheating on the page but not with the MMC.

Review:

Ashley can't believe her luck. Her husband is a lying, cheating, jerk face... (hey, I had to keep it clean) and when she finds out; she heads to the one place she knows she can call home - to Ricky. And when her divorce finalizes... she's back at Ricky's bar.

Ricky has always had feelings for Ashley, but the timing was never right when he tried to bring it to her attention. But when things come crashing down around Ashley, will he take advantage of it... of course not, he's a gentleman. And when she gets divorced? Does he take advantage then? Nope. He does everything right. AND I LOVE IT!

The two things that didn't sit right with me were that Ashley would call Ricky "Rick" and he hates that name. And if she's friends like they say she is in the book, she should know that. And... there are at least 2 instances where he mentions (in his head, mind you) that he hates that name, but we don't know why. I know it's a novella, but inquiring minds want to know. :)

Hannah
Pregnant after a one-night stand? Definitely not part of the plan. But with Jake by my side—my best friend, my rock, the guy who’s promised to support me through all of it—I’m not worried about the village gossip. They can whisper all they like about Jake’s dark past, but I know him. I trust him completely. He’s got my back, no questions asked.
Lately, though... there’s been something different between us. When he looks at me, it’s like I’m seeing him for the first time. Or maybe it’s the hormones playing tricks on me, making me feel things I’m not sure I should. He’s been my best friend forever—nothing more, right?

Jake
Hannah means everything to me. She’s been my closest friend since I moved to Fellside, and the only one who truly accepted me—past, baggage and all. But truth is, she’s not just a friend. I’ve always felt more, even if I’ve never told her. As for the rumours flying around the village... they don’t paint the full picture. Some are right, some are wrong, but the past is behind me. My future? That’s with Hannah and the baby she’s carrying. The thought of everything catching up with me keeps me up at night, but if it comes to that—if it threatens her—I’ll fight to the end. No matter the cost.

This steamy romance is part of a series set in a shared world, but you don’t need to have read the others to enjoy it. Each story stands alone, though you might spot a few familiar faces along the way!

It contains adult content, please read the content warnings. The book is set in the north of England and written in British English.

Review:

Wow... I was not expecting my guess on what was going to happen to actually happen. Every time I read a book, I try to figure out what's happening, or what's going to happen. Nine times out of ten, my internal meter is off and I'm shocked as hell about the ending. But not so much so with this book. But even though I called how things were going to go down, I did not expect the emotions that Ms. Elias evoked from this scene.

I love the well-written characters, Ms. Elias' ability to evoke emotion, and that even though this is a novella, it has a clear beginning, middle and end to the story. If you're a fan of the Greenview Manor Tales, or even if you've never heard of them, pick up this book. It comes 4th in the series, but you can read it as a standalone if you're not sure you want to invest your time in the entire series. But, then you'll kick yourself in the bum because you realize that Ms. Elias has talent and you're going to head back to the beginning to read the rest of the series.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Happily Booked PR and author Dani Elias for this opportunity.
