Review: As with the other Doodle Art Alley Coloring book I've reviewed. (Doodle Art Valley Book Volume 1) I'm rather enchanted. But this one doesn't have a sayings theme like the other book. This is separated into rather distinctive sections.

  • Abstract Designs
  • Animal Designs
  • Flower Designs
  • Geometric Designs
  • Henna Designs
  • Mandala Designs
  • Nature Designs
and
  • Space Designs
How can you not love a book that is separated into so many wonderful sections? Well, I had to get started coloring, so here's my process.

I'm a little OCD when it comes to coloring, so I set out all of my colors, and my book, and get ready.

Magical Designs Coloring Art Book

Like all of Doodle Art Alley Books, I still have a problem with the fact that they don't have a piece of card stock that you can use to protect the next drawing from your markers, so you see I've provided my own.

I get in there and start working each little doodle with color, to make sure that there is no two colors the same near each other. This was after my first coloring session. I've had to cut my sessions short due to a back problem, but the good thing about coloring, it's always right there when you come back to it.

And when I finally finished, here was my little Tiki Bird with the corn cob legs. :) I used markers, Sharpies, and highlighters. There is no right or wrong when it comes to coloring you know. And I've come to find out with Doodle Art Alley there is no wrong either. Way to go Samantha, another hit.

Stay tuned for an interview with Samantha Snyder soon. I'm so very excited. *does the Tigger dance*

I'd like to thank Word Slingers Publicity and Kathy at aka books for such a wonderful opportunity to review this book. This book will be kept in my collection since it has been colored in.

Review: the time chamber by Daria Song

the time chamber

Title: the time chamber

Author: Daria Song

Buy Link: CLICK HERE

Publisher InsightKorean artist Daria Song’s sequel to The Time Garden takes readers on a visual journey into a magical nighttime world seen through the eyes of a fairy.

This second book in the bestselling Time coloring series features the voyage of a fairy who, when the cuckoo clock chimes midnight, enters the human world. To the tiny fairy, everything seems enormous and magical, from the curtains to the chandelier to a mystical rowboat that takes her further into an inky adventure. With her she packs her favorite items, which colorers can find throughout the book’s pages: an owl-feathered pen, a star-scented spray, a time tape measure…even the key to the time chamber itself!

Filled with the imaginative, intricately detailed illustrations Song’s readers have come to love, The Time Chamber presents a view of our world made new—and ready for coloring.

The Time Chamber features extra-thick craft paper, ideal for non bleed-through coloring, and the jacketed cover with flaps is removable and colorable. Special gold-foil stamping on the cover and spine and a To/From page make it perfect for gifting to adults and kids alike.

Review: Recently we went out of town to meet my step-son's new girlfriend. Sweet girl. But the best part was we got to leave the little town we live in to visit a big city. And in this big city there was a Michael's store IN THE MALL! I mean really, have you ever heard of something so wonderful? I actually kicked the family out of the store and told them to go have fun in the mall and leave me there. That's when I found this book. It was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen. I was hoping to use my 50% off coupon, but no, they don't work. So I gave up on the book. Well, that was until I saw it on Amazon. :) Gotta love 'em.

When I actually got into the coloring book, I realized that it wasn't just a beautifully designed coloring book, but a short little children's book as well. I didn't realize that it was the second in the series, or I probably would have gotten the other one first, but this is so wonderful, that I'm glad that I have it.

I'm contemplating coloring the book in great painstaking detail and then giving a copy to each of my grand children for a present. But they would have to be much older for me to want to do that, since I wouldn't want them to want to color in it, or to rip the pages.

I think a pre-teen girl would love this book as a present since it's so beautiful, and detailed. Take a look at some of the pages.

Now tell me how you would not want to color in this book. Not only is it beautiful, but it's timeless. I plan on spending more time with Daria Song and her beautiful mastery. If you'd like to see some more things by Daria, I found her Instagram page HERE so you can see some of her other wonderful artwork. I'm inspired.

Until next time.

My Review: Since I was reading this on my Kindle I was able to see percentages of how far into the book things took place. About 86% of the way through the book really started picking up and the storyline really started pulling me in. I really started to understand where this might have been going and how the characters were going with things. Until then I was pretty much thrown under the bus.

In the Goodreads profile it markets this book as Rated R, and I think that they really should just drop that and go with rating it as an erotica and cut to the chase. I'm wondering why their  editor didn't space out the sex scenes a little more so they could have used it more through the book. It seemed the beginning 30% of the book had 90% of the most descriptive sex scenes, and the last 70% had the milder sex scenes. The whole book seemed a little off balance in that way to me.

And Louise. Now I've heard it called a Vajayjay, but I've never heard of anyone every naming their, hooha. But this book spent a good 36% (Thank God for Kindle percentages!) Talking about landscaping Louise. I mean really. I don't even think about my hooha that much, even when I find a new man. Maybe that says more about me than it does about the book, but man, talk about something else.

But once I got past the 80% mark, I fell in love. I wanted to know where those authors were the entire book. Where that passion and understanding and feeling were all along. Kate forgot about Louise, and embraced her character. You stopped reading about nothing but sex, and actually had dialogue and descriptive interludes. I wanted this throughout the whole book.

**************

I want to thank the authors, and Badass Marketing for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC copy of this book. It will now be deleted off of my Kindle.

ABOUT A. M. HARGROVE

AMHargrove-AuthorPhotoOne day, on her way home from work as a sales manager A. M. Hargrove realized her life was on fast forward and if she didn't do something soon, it would be too late to write that work of fiction she had been dreaming of her whole life. So she rolled down the passenger window of her fabulous (not) company car and tossed out her leather briefcase. Luckily, the pedestrian in the direct line of fire was a dodge ball pro and had über quick reflexes enabling him to avoid getting bashed in the head. Feeling a tad guilty about the near miss, A. M. made a speedy turn down a deserted side street before tossing her crummy, outdated piece-of-you-know-what laptop out the window. She breathed a liberating sigh of relief, picked up her cell phone, called her boss, and quit her job. Grinning, she made another call to her hubs and told him of her new adventure (after making sure his heart was beating properly again).

So began A. M. Hargrove's career as a Naughty and Nice Romance Author.

Her books include Adult, New Adult and Young Adult Romances, including, The Guardians of Vesturon Series (Survival, Resurrection, Determinant, reEmergent, and the novella Beginnings); Dark Waltz and Death Waltz (The Praestani Novels); The Edge Series (Edge of Disaster, Shattered Edge, and Kissing Fire); The Tragic Series (Tragically Flawed and Tragic Desires); Exquisite Betrayal; Dirty Nights: The Novel; and The Hart Brothers Novels (Freeing Her, Freeing Him, and Kestrel).

ABOUT TERRI E. LAINE

TerriELaine-AuthorPhotoWife and mother of three, I've always been an avid reader. In my early years, my best friend and I would tell each other stories over the phone when we were bored. We called them our "soap operas" and generally revolved around whatever boy we liked at the time.

Over five years ago, I got this crazy idea to write a novel and try to publish it. And the rest is history. This journey has been a blessing, and a dream realized. I look forward to many more memories to come.
