Publisher's Insight:

For six years, they've been my best friends—four devastatingly handsome roommates who never suspected how deeply my feelings had grown. As graduation approaches and our time together dwindles, walls crumble and confessions spill forth.
My best friends want me.
All of them.
And I want them back.
What begins as a dizzying exploration of passion quickly spirals into nightmare when I vanish without a trace—kidnapped during a date with the son of a powerful mob boss.
Trapped.
A pawn in a vicious Mafia power struggle.
With no knowledge of whether my date survived the attack that tore me away, I'm forced to navigate a lethal underworld where family feuds are settled in blood. As rival factions circle and tensions escalate, one thing becomes clear: I'm at the center of a war about to explode.
The men who took me have no idea what they've unleashed.
It's time to release the dogs of war.

Review:

Noooo, this cannot be the end of the book!! Be prepared for the cliffhanger of a lifetime folks!

I was not expecting this book. When I started reading it I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this fierce, why choose, burn the world if you hurt her/him, dark romance! Anita has shocked me in the best of ways and I can’t wait to see what’s up her sleeves for the next book!! Kudos!

I’d like to thank the author and Literary Inspired for the opportunity to read this book!!

Audiobook Review: I Am Salvation by Helen Hardt

I Am Salvation (Steel Legends Book 2)I Am Salvation by Helen Hardt
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dragon and Griffin didn't lead a charmed youth. When Griffin, Dragon's sister, gets attacked with a knife in their own home, Griffin is the one who found her. His parents thought the worst and sent him away to live a life of hell. When Griffin was abducted, his family learned he wasn't the one to blame, but they did nothing to stop the hell he was living in.

Fast forward many years and Dragon is trying to live life the way best he can. He's tipped off that his sister may actually be alive. To protect her, he goes to the only place he can go to get the help he needs, though he's loathe to accept the help but needs must, the Steels. Through the help of a PI, he finds the clues that lead him to his long-lost mother (waste of air if you ask me), and clues to his sister's whereabouts.

Diana just wants to be the best she can, on her own merit. But when right vs. wrong comes into play, Diana must choose what she's willing to live with. But at what cost?

It was great watching Diana and Dragon fall in love. The ending was satisfying, and I enjoyed listening to the narrator as well. I'd like to thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author, for the opportunity to review this book.

Publisher's Insight:

Love doesn’t shatter in a single blow—it fractures, piece by piece.

With one choice, Misha Hroshko became my everything: my savior, my lover, my husband.

For a decade, he’s kept his promise to protect me, but some vows are harder to uphold than others.

Now, the dark secret society that once owned me wants me back, but Misha will stop at nothing to keep me safe.

So he prepares to fight the way he knows best—with force, with control, with ruthless determination.

The only problem? He wants to put me on a shelf.

Sheltered. Untouched. Forgotten.

I’ve spent too long in the shadows hiding from The Legion, and now it’s my turn to fight.

But I didn’t expect the biggest battle to be against the love of my life.

He saved me once…but can we save our marriage?

Firelight and Fractures is a dark marriage-in-trouble holiday romance novella. Featuring forced proximity, primal intensity, and a deadly secret society, it’s packed with tension, heat, and emotional depth. Told in dual first-person POV, Firelight and Fractures explores themes of love, power, and redemption. A standalone in the Devils in D.C. Saga, this novella contains mature themes. Full CWs are available on the author’s site.

Review:

Holy hot, Batman! This novella had me from the very beginning. I love Luna. She's my hero. Not one to take life lying down or waiting for the man to do it all, she's just all any woman could want to be. And then Misha, hot, sexy, broody Misha! The man needs to learn to let go and accept help. He's not in life alone, just ask Luna. But no... he's got to be all alpha male (bring it on) and control the world.

Now, when I say this book is a DARK romantic suspense, I'm not lying here. You have to be made aware that the sex in this book is NOT vanilla! Not in any way. Nuh uh! But dayum.

If you want a dark romantic suspense where he'll burn the world to protect the woman he loves, and she's willing to do the same. PICK THIS BOOK UP NOW! And if you like this novella, please consider picking up her Devils In DC series. Smoking hot - this novella is interconnected.
